Dr Anderson is a Consultant Neurologist and lead undergraduate tutor for Neurology at the Royal Gwent Hospital. His clinical interest is in epilepsy and acute neurology and he is actively involved at all levels in teaching neurology. He won the Cardiff University student recommended clinical teacher award in 2012 and the BMA Wales Rising Star Award in 2013 for his efforts in teaching undergraduates, and is an examiner for Cardiff University OSCEs. He is also a neurology question writer for the Royal College of Physicians. Dr Anderson is keen to help candidates appreciate the underlying anatomical basis for examination techniques and signs, and to help them learn to adapt and focus their neurological examination for the patient they are assessing.
